UPDATED MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION COMING SOON!
There are two types of members of BPHO, Good Standing Members and Participatory Members. All members will complete a form that includes their birthdays, classes, majors and/or minors and contact information upon joining BPHO or cooperating with BHP and/or BLAIDS. The Secretary and Historian will receive the attendance sheets from all meetings, events and sites for documentation purposes. At the end of each quarter, a list will be created to classify the membership type for all members of the organization. Such a list will be updated quarterly.
A. Good Standing Members: To become a good standing member, one must pay dues, which are $5/quarter or $12/year. Dues will go towards providing for the meetings, discounts to SNMA and other health conferences, social events and BPHO scholarships. Incentives for Good Standing members are access to the MCAT/GRE library, letters of recommendation, discounts for MCAT/GRE preparation courses through Princeton Review/Hyperlearning and Kaplan, gift certificates, the ability to run for BPHO elections, vote in BPHO elections, scholarship opportunities and discounts to social events. If Good Standing members attend all 3 of BPHO general meetings, 2 fundraisers or social events sponsored by BPHO and an average of one BHP site and one BLAIDS site per quarter, they will then be eligible for candidacy in BPHO elections to serve on the Board of Directors.
B. Participatory Members: All members that are not in the above mentioned category are Participatory Members. They only attend at least one BPHO meeting per quarter.
